Latest Research and Reports on Housing Affordability

There has been little empirical research done to date on the consequences of market intervention via inclusionary zoning or its effectiveness in meeting the need for affordable housing. There has also been little research into other approaches at the state and local level that could be promoted as alternatives to inclusionary zoning. This is a summary of the results of three major research studies prepared for NAHB as well as additional relevant reports by other researchers.
