CORPORATE PHILANTHROPY / INDIVIDUAL DONATIONS
Please join a growing number of homebuilders and others from our industry by supporting the National Housing Endowment. Our field deserves the best and brightest talent in order to continue meeting the needs of tomorrow’s home owners, and now, you can be a part of that commitment to excellence.

PLANNED GIVING
The National Housing Endowment is the philanthropic arm of NAHB and is a charitable non-profit organization funded by private contributions from individuals, corporations and other organizations. Your donations enable NHE to help the industry to develop effective approaches to home building, enhance the ways we educate and train future generations of leaders in residential construction and increase the body of knowledge on housing issues. We will do so by supporting innovative programs that further education, training and research. When you support NHE with your tax-deductible gift, you are investing in the future of a vibrant home building industry. A planned gift to the Endowment is a powerful expression of support for the future of our organization and the industry. If you would like to join others who have provided for NHE in this special way, please consider the options below.
WAYS TO GIVE
Donors may consider giving gifts of cash, life insurance, real estate, securities and retirement plan assets. A planned gift is a unique type of gift, which does not involve the direct and immediate transfer of cash from the donor to the Endowment. Instead, donors utilize special giving vehicles, which delay the transfer of the cash gift and provide extra benefits not normally associated with traditional giving. These benefits usually involve a lifetime income and/or significant tax reductions for you and your heirs. The National Housing Endowment offers donors the opportunity to participate in several planned giving programs.

Bequests
Leave your legacy by making a gift in your will to friends, family and charitable organizations. A bequest is one of the simplest ways to remember those you care about most.
Gifts of Life Insurance
Perhaps you would like to make a sizable contribution to us now to help meet our current needs, but you don’t want to reduce the estate you will pass to your family. The solution? Purchase life insurance.
Retained Life Estate
One of your valued possessions, your home, can become a valued gift to us even while you are still living in it, and even if you want your spouse or other survivor to live there for life. This arrangement is called a retained life estate.
Charitable Lead Trust
If your goal is to provide an inheritance for your children, but you would also like to make a significant charitable gift through your estate, find out how a charitable lead trust can help you satisfy both objectives. It’s a charitable lead trust that can provide a significant charitable gift through your estate and provide an inheritance to your children.
Charitable Remainder Trust
What are your plans for the future? While there is no single way to achieve all of your personal and financial goals, there is one strategy that can meet many of your needs. It’s called a charitable remainder trust. In the right circumstances, it can increase your income, reduce your taxes, unlock appreciated investments, rid you of investment worries and ultimately provide important support.
